Agents in Kleberg County make cocaine bust

Agents from the South Texas Specialized Crimes and Narcotics Task Force seized approximately 25 pounds of cocaine during a traffic stop in Kleberg County yesterday.

According to STTF, agents arrested a 43-year-old woman from Edcouch for Felony Possession of Cocaine.

Agents discovered the drugs hidden in a speaker box in the rear section of a GMC Yukon during a traffic stop on U.S. Highway 77 in Kleberg County.

STTF says the suspect was booked into the Kleberg County Jail on felony violations of the Texas Health and Safety Code.

STTF agents were assisted by Border Patrol Agents from Kingsville, as well as, Homeland Security Investigations agents from Corpus Christi.

The South Texas Specialized Crimes and Narcotics Task Force is a member of the Houston Money Laundering Initiative; a High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Program dedicated expressly to the identification, disruption and dismantling of Money Laundering Organizations.
