There are more B-list restaurants than perfect scores in Thursday’s edition of Kitchen Cops.

Subway located at 3133 Alameda scored a 100.

Gyro Express located at 711 Carancahua scored a 100.

Earning a spot on the A-list with a 98 is Jamba Juice located at 5425 South Padre Island Drive.

Luciano’s Italian Restaurant located at 1821 Alameda scored a 97.

Whataburger located at 4444 East Causeway scored a 96.

Schlotzsky’s located at 5802 Weber scored a 96.

Pho Life located at 5865 Weber scored a 96.

Angry Marlin Restaurant located at 15605 South Padre Island Drive scored a 96.

Kings Donuts located at 7602 Staples scored a 95.

Portis Kountry Kitchen #2 located at 615 North Upper Broadway scored a 94.

Origami Japanese Cuisine & Sushi Bar located at 1220 Airline scored a 93.

Taqueria Chapala located at 1237 Nile scored a 92.

Shoreline Sandwich Company located at 600 Leopard scored a 91.

Muscle Maker Grill located at 7426 Staples scored a 91.

La Javita Mariscos #2 located at 9440 South Padre Island Drive scored a 90.

Good-N-Crisp located at 14601 South Padre Island Drive scored a 90.

Boathouse Bar & Grill located at 15241 Leeward scored a 90.

Taqueria Jalisco located at 5358 Kostoryz scored a 90.

Dropping down to the B-list with an 89 is 8te located at 1220 Airline.

Health inspectors found raw beef stored above salmon, raw meat stored above vegetables, a dirty can opener, employees not washing hands between tasks, wiping towels were not stored properly and scoops were not stored properly.

Ara’s Euro-Fusion Restaurant located at 6917 Staples scored an 89.

Violations included dirty soda guns, clear chemical bottles were not labeled, no soap or towels at the hand washing sink, silverware was not stored properly, an electric cover near the ice maker needs to be replaced and spoiled vegetables.

Taqueria El Potro located at 1401 Roddfield scored an 88.

The restaurant lost points because food was stored on the floor, food needed to be covered, raw meat was stored above vegetables, chemicals were near food, no soap or towels at the hand washing sink, flies, gnats, employees not wearing beard guards, wiping towels were not stored properly and utensils were not stored properly.
