Texas State Aquarium is proud of its newest features at its Wildlife Rescue Center, formerly called the Second Chances Wildlife Rehabilitation Program.

The center refurbished its surgical center and water systems where more than 1,000 sea turtles were rehabilitated in early 2018.

The Aquarium also showed off a new 24-foot boat to help rescue and transport animals.

The new space is designed to be less stressful for the animals.

If you happen to come across any injured wildlife, you can call the wildlife rescue hospital hotline at 361-881-1210.
