Two perfect scores and two B-list restaurants in Tuesday’s edition of the Kitchen Cops.

Papa Murphy’s Pizza located at 5017 Saratoga scored a 100.

Subway located at 1502 Airline scored a 100.

Earning a spot on the A-list with a 99 is Santa Rosa located at 2722 Staples.

A La Mode Gelateria located at 14254 South Padre Island Drive scored a 99.

Kuzina Labanese Grill located at 3801 Saratoga scored a 98.

Scoopy’s located at 13313 South Padre Island Drive scored a 97.

Padre Island Burger Company located at 14414 State Highway 361 scored a 97.

Mikel May’s Beach Side Bar & Grill located at Bobhall Pier scored a 97.

Jersey Mike’s located at 5425 South Padre Island Drive scored a 97.

Coffee Waves located at 10309 South Padre Island Drive scored a 97.

Green Light Coffee located at 600 Leopard scored a 97.

Whataburger located at 6425 Weber scored a 96.

Tona’s Taqueria located at 2561 Agnes scored a 95.

Vick’s Famous Hamburgers located at 2211 Leopard scored a 94.

Pizza Hut located at 4815 Staples scored a 94.

La Playa Mexican Restaurant located at 5017 Saratoga scored a 93.

Snoopy’s Pier located at 13313 South Padre Island Drive scored a 92.

Hunan Express located at 10421 South Padre Island Drive scored a 90.

Bluffalo Wings Co. located at 10529 South Padre Island Drive scored a 90.

Dropping down to the B-list

Scuttlebutt’s Seafood Bar & Grill located at 14254 South Padre Island Drive scored an 87.

Health inspectors found the dish washer not working properly, a dirty can opener, insert pans needed to be washed thoroughly, chemical spray bottles on top of the ice machine, employees not wearing beard guards but they were wearing jewelry.

Other violations included wiping towels not stored properly, shrimp not thawed properly, souffle cups used to dispense sauces, clean dishes under the hand soap dispenser, an ice scoop was not stored properly, food containers were not labeled, standing water at the dish washing area and bar cooking area and a greasy sidewalk near the kitchen entrance.

Doc’s Seafood & Steak Restaurant located at 13309 South Padre Island Drive scored an 85.

The restaurant lost points because ceviche was kept at the wrong temperature, pans needed to be washed thoroughly, medications and spray bottles were not stored correctly, the hand washing sink is to far from the prep station, employees were not wearing hair restraints, employee drinking cups need lids, wiping towels were not stored properly, an ice scoop was not stored properly, souffle cups were used to dispense condiments and a dirty microwave.
