Local police want help catching wallet thief

CORPUS CHRISTI – Corpus Christi Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a suspected thief.

According to police, a man was shopping at a local store on the 5800 block of Weber, and after leaving, realized he had left his wallet.  

When the man went back to the store, his wallet was gone but the store’s manager was able to access security camera footage of the incident.

Footage showed the man making a purchase and then walk away, leaving his wallet at the counter.

A short time later, a male suspect in a grey, hooded sweatshirt go to the checkout.

Police said that as the suspect was paying for his items, he notices the wallet on the counter, picks it up and leaves the store.
