Corpus Christi police are expecting to review surveillance video of a "jugging" robbery that happened near a bank.
The robbery happened around 2:30 pm Sunday afternoon in the 5800 block of Weber Road.
According to police, a convenience store employee was dropping off a deposit at the bank when a man dressed in black clothing and wearing a red cap, pushed the woman and took a deposit bag.
The suspect then ran into an apartment complex across Caravelle Parkway.
Police searched the apartment complex but didn’t find the suspect.
Investigators say they will review surveillance video from the bank in the future.
"Jugging" or "bank jugging" has been described by several Texas media outlets as a crime in which a suspect watches a victim leave a bank with money, follows them, then robs them or breaks into the target’s vehicle.
Officers advised that people be aware of their surroundings, especially when heading to or coming from the bank.
