Two men are arrested on animal cruelty charges after seven dogs were found dumped, near Calallen last month.
Forty-year-old Lee Trapasso and 27-year-old Travis Zak are charged with "cruelty to non-livestock animals".
Trapasso admitted to investigators that the seven dogs were his and he was quote, "taking care of a problem" because the dogs had killed his chickens and ducks.
Zak helped Trapasso shoot the dogs.
Trapasso also says he couldn’t afford to feed the dogs anymore and couldn’t find a shelter for them. He also believed they had parvo.
The two could also face charges in Corpus Christi for illegal dumping.
