UPDATE: According to CCISD, the message in question has been reviewed and it was determined that the school in question was not within the district. The lockdown at Miller was lifted at 12:35 p.m. once the safety of CCISD students and staff was assured.
Roy Miller High School has been placed in lockdown after a recording of a possible threat toward the school was received by Portland Police.
According to Corpus Christi Independent School District police, Portland PD shared the recording, thinking that it may affect a CCISD school.
CCISD Police Chief Kirby Warnke says the message is mumbled and sounds like a person speaking Spanish.
Warnke says CCISD police have listened to the recording and believe the message is in reference to another school district, but the department will bring in experts to verify.
This is a developing story, and more information will be reported as it becomes available.
