April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month.  Artists and survivors of sexual assault and their loved ones will display their works of art during the month of April to raise awareness and to honor victims.

The Purple Door, K Space Contemporary and La Retama Central Library teamed up to provide an artistic outlet for those affected by sexual violence.

The art exhibit honors those affected by sexual violence while bringing awareness to the community during Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month.

The art exhibit will be on display at Corpus Christi’s downtown library: La Retama Central Public Library, 805 Comanche St., starting with a reception on Thursday, April 12 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.

The exhibit will be on display until the end of April.
