The identity has been released of the teenager police say had a gun near Moody High School.
CCISD Police say 17-year-old Isaac Molina was arrested Thursday after a campus security officer noticed him across the street from the school.
That officer said Molina made an inappropriate gesture, so he detained him and found the gun while searching him.
On Friday morning, Molina appeared in magistrate court where he was charged with one felony count of unlawful carrying of a weapon in a prohibited place, a misdemeanor count of unlawful carrying of a weapon and a misdemeanor count of possession of marijuana.
Molina remains in the Nueces County Jail. Details of his bail will be released Friday afternoon.
