One person is dead, another arrested, and another on the run after an officer involved shooting.
Just after midnight, multiple people broke into an apartment on the 2300 block of Capitan Drive.
The residents called 9-1-1, and when the Corpus Christi Police Department arrived, officers confronted the offenders as they were leaving the apartment and one armed offender was shot by police. He died at the scene.
CCPD arrested one person, while another took off on foot.
It is not clear how many people total invaded that apartment, or the names or ages of those people.
The people living in the apartment were not hurt.
It is unclear if this home invasion is related to Monday’s deadly shooting in the London District.
