The search for a woman reported missing last October has come to a devastating end.
21-year-old Breanna Wood was reported missing by her mother on October 18, 2016.
The remains of Breanna Wood were found South of Bluntzer near County Road 666 Tuesday morning, according to police.
Detective R.L. Garcia with CCPD confirmed the identity of the remains as Breanna Wood.
Action 10 has been told an inmate at the Nueces County Jail led authorities to the body.
According to Nueces County Sheriff Jim Kaelin, CCPD Detectives interviewed a jail inmate Monday.
The inmate told them he was paid to dispose of Woods’ body.
Monday morning the inmate led detectives to a home just South of Bluntzer where the remains were found on property.
The inmate is jailed on unrelated charges.
Police say an investigation into finding the killer is underway.
