CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Corpus Christi Police are investigating after a dead body was found early Tuesday morning.
Officers first received a call around 2:15 A.M. about a man seen dragging a body down Waco and Leopard.
When they arrived, they found a deceased male on Waco with blunt force trauma injuries to his head.
Officers were given a description of the person allegedly involved, a black male in a black shirt and grey pants.
Shortly after, officers found a man matching that description at the Stripes store in Leopard Street.
The man was detained and taken downtown for questioning.
His name is not being released at this time, as he is not yet being treated as a suspect, but as a person matching the description of who officers were looking for.
A weapon was not found at the scene and the victim has not yet been identified.
The investigation is ongoing.
