The Corpus Christi Independent School District and Gregory-Portland ISD are offering students free lunches after extending Spring Break.
Coronavirus fears have closed many area school districts, and to help with extra, unexpected mouths to feed for lunch, students 18 years old and younger can pick up free food.
CCISD students can get their food from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. Monday through Friday this week at any of its six high schools.
G-P lunches can be picked up from noon - 1:30 p.m. Monday-Friday at Austin and Clark elementaries.
Parents must have their children with them to pick up food.
Both will also provide curbside service, and ask parents to not get out of the car.
