CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Another cold, chilly start will be seen in the Coastal Bend today with temperatures in the 30s and 40s inland and closer to the 50s near the coastline.

Today's forecast calls for milder afternoon temperatures, especially compared to yesterday where we struggled to get out of the 50s for highs.

This afternoon we'll reach the upper 60s to lower 70s in anticipation of our next front that will push into the region around sunset. We'll hold on to a few clouds for partly cloudy skies and could potentially even squeeze out a quick shower or two, but overall most of us will stay dry.

Tonight, northerly winds will increase to around 15-20 mph and small craft caution is advised for boaters and mariners. We'll be headed back down in the low 40s here in Corpus Christi with some upper 30s inland.

Wednesday and Thursday look fantastic with lots of afternoon sunshine and highs in the low to mid 60s. Mornings will be on the cold side in the 30s on Thursday morning. We could even see a light freeze for our inland communities.

Clouds, humidity and wind will pick up on Friday and Saturday ahead of the next frontal boundary which will arrive Saturday about midday. Few isolated showers will be possible, but again we are on the tail end of the activity and most of the rainfall will be to our north. Also, with more wind and humidity, afternoon highs will come back into the mid to upper 70s.

Once the front clears, the clouds will move along with it and afternoon highs will drop to the low to mid 60s.

Have a great day!
