CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A mid-level disturbance combined with a weak surface trough and abundant moisture allows scattered showers and thunderstorms over the western and northwestern Coastal Bend today.
A tropical wave will bring overnight storms that will persist into early Sunday. A cold front will bring midweek rains.
Scattered thunderstorms this afternoon have remained generally over the northwest Coastal Bend, with some locales receiving more than an inch of rain.
This evening a tropical wave will begin to bring scattered showers and storms across the region.
For Saturday, expect local additional totals of 1 to 2 inches. Scattered thunderstorms will taper off Sunday, with only isolated showers Monday.
The much advertised Fall-like cold front will be preceded Tuesday by scattered thunderstorms, then cooler air arrives early Wednesday.
Expect cloudy and showery conditions Wednesday and early Thursday, with clearing skies Friday.
Highs will be in the 90s, cooling to the 80s Wednesday through Friday. Lows in the 70s will fall to the 60s Wednesday through Friday.
