Front brings showers for weekend

A cold front will move into the Coastal Bend early Saturday morning then stall before moving north as a warm front Sunday.

Ahead of the front we'll see a few spotty showers and isolated storms Friday afternoon.

Showers and storms will become more numerous Friday night into Saturday morning with a strong or severe storm possible and locally heavy rain.

Scattered showers will taper off Saturday night but increase Sunday morning as the warm front moves through.

Overall rain totals are expected to range from a half inch to an inch and a half through Sunday.

Tonight: Cloudy with a spot shower chance and lows in the lower 70s.

Friday: Mostly cloudy, warm and humid with a slight shower or t-storm chance and highs in the upper 70s to mid 80s and southeast winds up to 20 mph.

Friday Night: Increasing showers and t-storms with lows near 70.

Saturday: Showers and t-storms are likely and will be more numerous in the morning and scattered in the afternoon with highs in the 70s.

Sunday: Scattered showers and isolated storms with highs in the upper 70s to lower 80s.
