CORPUS CHRISTI, TX — The combination of dry lower levels of the atmosphere and upper level high pressure has gifted the Coastal Bend with another day of clear skies, a cool morning and a warm afternoon. That pattern will predominate for the next few days, with a brief chance of showers Thursday and Friday. The shower chance comes with a weak upper level disturbance gliding eastward across the Central Plains Thursday and Friday. The lift caused by this feature may be just enough to bring one or two showers to Southeast and South Texas, but rainfall will be fleeting and inconsequential. Fair skies with warm afternoons and mild nights will prevail from the weekend into early next week. A weak cold front on Tuesday will shift wind but induce no rain. Expect highs in the 80s and lows from the upper 50s to upper 60s.
