CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — While your weekend begins with fair skies on Saturday, increasing clouds and rain chances associated with Tropical Storm Beta begin by Sunday afternoon.
The Coastal Bend is in its path, bringing heavy rain and high wind by Monday.
Wednesday and Thursday presented the region with ample rains. The disturbance causing that rainfall is now beginning to move away from the area, but isolated showers persist late today.
Expect skies to be fair on Saturday, but approaching from the western Gulf of Mexico is Tropical Storm Beta.
Heavy rain and strong winds will likely impact the Middle Texas Coast Monday through Wednesday as the system slows to a crawl. Widespread flooding is likely, including higher-than-normal tides, urban flooding and river flooding.
