CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — After getting into the 80s yesterday afternoon waiting for the cold front to arrive, temperatures across the Coastal Bend have dipped into the 40s to start off Monday.

We've been seeing a series of moderate to strong cold fronts the last couple of weeks and this week is going to be no exception. Look for our temperatures to be roller-coasting up and down for much of the week and into the weekend.

Though we saw a few showers that arrivesd in our area late yesterday afternoon with the front, many of us stayed dry and got nowhere near what we needed to help in our drought situation.

For today, we're going to be pretty chilly with highs only in the mid to upper 50s. Winds have been gusty, but those will relax as we head into the afternoon. Boaters and mariners, use caution as Small Craft Advisories are posted through the early afternoon hours.

Tonight will be another cold night. Clouds will start to increase though and we could also see a few sprinkles. Nighttime lows will fall into the middle 40s.

Tuesday will warm up quite nicely, compared to what we'll see today, with high temperatures in the middle 70s. These conditions are because our next front will arrive by the late afternoon and bring in another dose of colder air.

We could see a stray to isolated shower ahead and along the frontal boundary, but again most of us will remain dry.

Look for sunshine through Thursday before clouds increase on Friday. Temperatures will moderate back into the low 70s for highs with cold and brisk mornings. The next front arrives Saturday around midday. It'll also bring a small chance of a few showers.

Have a great week!
