Slightly above normal amounts of atmospheric moisture combine with weak mid-level instability and favorable jet stream dynamics to allow isolated showers and a few thunderstorms through Wednesday.

Sunny afternoons and mostly clear nights prevail thereafter, with a weak cold front arriving Saturday.

Meanwhile, in the tropical Atlantic, Tropical Storm Epsilon was named earlier today.

The storm will intensify to a hurricane by late Wednesday and threaten Bermuda before turning north into the colder waters of the North Atlantic.

Showers tonight through Wednesday will generate only modest rainfall, so water your yards and wash the car.

Expect highs in the middle 80s and lows in the upper 60s to lower 70s.
