CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — It was another hot and dry day here in Coastal Bend with heat index values of between 105 and 110 degrees.

People need to use extreme caution when spending extended periods of time outdoors and temperatures are going to warm up even a bit more as we move into the holiday weekend.

The Saharan Dust will also continue to bring us hazy skies the next couple of days. The forecast for tonight calls for partly cloudy skies and mild weather conditions.

Look for an overnight low around 74 degrees.

It will be sunny and hot on Friday with a daytime high of 93 degrees, moving to 94 degrees on the 4th of July.

We remain in a hot and dry weather pattern through Monday.

We will see increasing moisture early next week. This could lead to a few isolated showers Tuesday and Wednesday.

Daytime high temperatures next week will be in the low to mid 90's. The overnight low temperatures will be in the upper 70's.
