Great beach day for Saturday

Posted at
and last updated

The streak of beautiful weather will continue for Saturday, but by Sunday, a cold front will move into the area. There’s a catch though.

Saturday’s forecast

Saturday will be a little cool to start the day—in the 50s. The abundant sunshine will warm things up to near 80 degrees during the afternoon. If you’re heading to the beach or to the Greek festival, Saturday will be the better day over Sunday.

Sunday’s forecast

By Sunday morning, the winds from the Gulf will start blowing humidity inland. This will increase the humidity. A cold front will move into the Coastal Bend around midday on Sunday. The front will fall apart and stall as it moves into the area. Unfortunately, this means that our weather pattern won’t change too much. A few hit-or-miss showers will likely pop up around the area, but the warm temperatures and high humidity will stick around.

Starting next week

Because the front won’t shake things up too much, the warm and humid conditions will reappear on Monday. It doesn’t look like we’ll see much in the way of change through at least the middle of next week.
