A cold front will move through the Coastal Bend on Halloween night, but it’s forecast to occur several hours after trick-or-treat time.
Halloween forecast
Most of the day on Wednesday will be warm and balmy with partly cloudy skies and temperatures in the 80s. During the evening, one or two showers or storms will be possible, but are unlikely. The best chance for seeing rain will be for the northeastern parts of the Coastal Bend.
This means that trick-or-treat should go on without any weather problems for almost everyone. After trick-or-treat time, a cold front will sit to our north. It will move through the Coastal Bend overnight, with a line of showers and storms possible. Once again, the further northeast you are in the area, the better chance of rain you’ll have. One or two storms may develop, and if they do, they will have the potential to be slightly severe. Widespread severe weather is not expected, but having one or two storms produce a bit of hail or gusty winds, can’t totally be ruled out.
Thursday through Saturday
The cold front will be long gone as the sun rises on Thursday. The sunshine will continue through the weekend along with temperatures in the 70s. We’re going to be in for a beautiful end to the week.
