Sunny and warm weekend

and last updated

The sun finally showed its face on Friday, and now it’s setting up camp for the next several days. In addition, it’s also going to get warm with a southerly wind helping to spike the temperatures.

Friday’s through the weekend

Sunshine will set up in our skies on Saturday and Sunday with very few clouds. As a result, temperatures will climb to the 80s. If you’re heading to the beach, you should be in great shape. The weather will be almost perfect for any outdoor activities.

Next week

The sunny skies will stick around for next week too, but the humidity will start to return by late-Monday into Tuesday. From there we start watching a cold front around Halloween. You’ll want to keep tabs on this forecast as we hit the start of next week.

River flooding

The flooding that has taken place north of Lake Corpus Christi over the past several weeks is now flowing into the lake. This is causing the lake to rise, and is prompting officials to release water from the lake. This is resulting in rises along the Nueces river downstream of Lake Corpus Christi. Moderate to major flooding will be possible along the river through at least the middle of next week.
