Scattered rain at times this weekend

We’ve lost the nice “fall” feeling to the air and replaced it with a very still and muggy feeling. But this muggy air will help contribute to more rain over the next few days.

Saturday’s forecast

Our Saturday doesn’t look like a washout, but there could definitely be some periods of heavy rain associated with scattered showers and storms. Beyond this, the skies are forecast to remain cloudy, which will leave the temperatures in the upper 70s to low 80s. You’ll definitely want to take the umbrella with you if you plan to head out.

While widespread flooding is not expected, because of the heavily saturated ground, any areas of heavy rain will have the possibility to lead to flooding.

Sunday’s forecast

Sunday will bring another chance for rain. However, a lot of this rain is likely to form over the Gulf. That still won’t leave everyone out of the mix though, as scattered rain is still likely across the coastal bend. Unfortunately, the mugginess won’t go away, but the cloud cover will keep temperatures in the 80s again.

Next week

By the start of the week, the atmosphere will settle down a little bit, leaving us with only isolated showers and partly cloudy skies. This will allow temperatures to gradually climb back up to the upper 80s.
