With all the rain that fell over the weekend, the ground is extremely saturated. All the moisture from the ground transfers into the air providing excessive levels of humidity. Combine this with warm afternoon temperatures, and it’s steamy.
Tuesday won’t be too much different than Monday. The temperatures will make it to near 90 degrees during the afternoon with a heat index between 105 and 110. Partly cloudy skies will ride overhead, but expect some of the clouds to clear away as the sea breeze moves through. Hot and steamy, but at least we’ll get another break from the rain.
Wednesday and Thursday
Wednesday will continue the hot and steamy trend, but by Thursday, a pop up shower or two will become possible. This is ahead of another slug of Gulf moisture that will bring elevated rain chances back to the area for the end of the week.
End of the week
Rain chances get bumped up to scattered as more tropical moisture fills the atmosphere. It’s still too early to talk about rainfall amounts, but unfortunately our ground is just too saturated to handle much more.
