A flash flood watch is in effect for Aransas, Refugio, San Patricio, Nueces, Jim Wells, Duval, and Kleberg counties. The watch goes until 7 a.m. Tuesday morning. Heavy rain has moved through the area this morning, and more rain is expected throughout the day. Some areas have already seen upwards of 2 inches of rain, and any more rain could contribute to some street flooding. Use caution as the morning commute gets underway, an remember to turn around, don’t drown.
Expect Monday to be a fairly wet day. Widespread rain will impact the area during the morning, with the potential that some of the rain could let up during the afternoon. However, off-and-on to scattered rainfall is still possible during the afternoon and evening. Highs will only be in the 80s today thanks to the rain and clouds.
