The weather will continue to be quiet for now, and the final weekend of summer vacation looks to continue with no weather problems. Hurricane Lane continues to pound Hawaii today, but fortunately it is weakening.

This weekend:

Highs in the mid-90s and partly cloudy skies will continue this weekend. This will be great for those with outdoor plans—just remember the sunscreen.

Next week:

By next week, a little more moisture will be in our atmosphere, which could allow one or two showers to pop up. However, most of us will stay dry. We could start to see even more moisture in the area by mid-week, but we’ll be watching that for you over the weekend.

Hurricane Lane:

As of Friday night, Hurricane Lane was still pounding the Hawaiian Islands with copious amounts of rain, high winds, and large waves. Fortunately, the storm continues to weaken as it moves slowly through the island chain. Due to the slow movement, rain and flooding will continue to be the story from Lane.
