We are going to be stuck in a hot and breezy summer weather pattern for the next couple of days.

Look for abundant sunshine with daytime highs in the lower 90’s.

Be careful when spending extended periods of time outdoors.

Heat index values will range from 105 to 109 degrees this afternoon.

The winds will be blowing out of the south at 10 to 20 miles per hour.

The Saharan dust will also continue to be an issue.

People with respiratory issues are asked to use caution.

Similar weather conditions will persist through at least Tuesday.

We will see increasing moisture in the area on Wednesday.

This will lead to the possibility of a few showers for the 4th of July holiday.

It will not be a washout… However people shouldn’t be surprised when some rain moves through.

Scattered showers will continue in the forecast through Friday.
