It’s going to be a hot and breezy weekend here in the Coastal Bend. The forecast calls for a daytime high around 91 degrees with the winds blowing out of the south at 20 to 25 miles per hour. We can also expect heat index values between 105 and 109 degrees this afternoon.
This means people should use caution when spending extended periods of time outdoors. The Saharan dust is also going to be a problem. This will also lead to rather hazy conditions. The forecast for tonight calls for partly cloudy skies with an overnight low around 78 degrees.
It should be a little less windy on Sunday. However, the hot and humid weather will continue through the next several days.
We are watching another little disturbance that will be moving into South Texas midweek. This will give us a chance of showers starting on the 4th of July. The showers are likely to continue through the end of the workweek
