The hot and humid weather conditions are going to be an issue again today here in South Texas. Look for heat index values between 105 and 109 degrees. People should use extreme caution when spending extended periods of time outdoors. It is also going to be rather windy. The winds will be blowing out of the southeast at 15 to 20 miles per hour. Expect some wind gusts around 30 miles per hour.
We are watching increasing moisture to move into the Coastal Bend from the Gulf of Mexico. This will lead to the possibility of a few showers developing overnight. There is a better chance for more widespread showers on Monday. Brief heavy rainfall will be possible in some locations, We could see a few lingering showers possible on Tuesday. Hot and dry weather conditions will return for the remainder of the workweek. Daytime highs will be in the lower 90’s with overnight lows in the upper 70’s.
