The weekend started stormy with a log of wind in the Coastal Bend as a cold front moved through early Saturday morning.

Wind gusts between 50 and 60 mph were seen overnight, causing power outages throughout Corpus Christi and surrounding communities.

Another round of showers moved through later in the morning, but things cleared out by Saturday afternoon, leaving abundant sunshine and a bit of wind with daytime highs in the mid 70s.

Saturday evening, chilly temperatures return with a low around 48 degrees and mostly clear skies.

High pressure will then bring a much brighter end to the weekend, with plenty of sunshine and a daytime high around 78 degrees on Sunday. Wind is expected to be lighter as well.

Sunny weather continues for the first half of the work week with daytime highs in the lower 80s. More unsettled weather is expected in the latter half of the week with the best chance of rain expected next Saturday.
