The skeletal remains of missing Fort Hood soldier Gregory Morales have been found.

Wedel says the skeletal remains found on the morning of June 19 in Killeen belonged to her son.

"I just want to thank whoever came forward with the info. We finally have closure and can clear his name," Gregory Morales' mother Kim Wedel said, according to KHOU.

Fort Hood Criminal Investigation Division, Killeen homicide detectives and Texas Parks and Wildlife officials found the remains in a field on the 3200 block of Florence Road.

KHOU reportsthat an autopsy has been ordered and that Fort Hood has not yet confirmed the information.
