CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A local man was sentenced to 14 years for his part in an armed robbery and shooting of a man at a store.

25-year-old Leonard Reyna pleaded guilty in July of this year to the crime spree that happened last year.

In August of 2018, three armed suspects robbed a jewelry store in the Corpus Christi Trade Center. One of the suspects was a 16-year-old who was caught right away.

The other two suspects ran away. About an hour later, the other two suspects tried to steal a truck from a customer at a Stripes store on Ayers Street. The man was resistant and shot in the stomach and left arm.

Reyna has been in custody and will be transferred to a prison.

U.S. Marshals are still looking for 26-year-old Carlos Moreno. There is a warrant for his arrest. He's accused of being involved in both robberies and with discharging a firearm. Anyone with information can call the U.S. Marshals service at 1-800-336-0102.
