Police say no charges will be filed in yesterday's incident at La Palmera.
Late Sunday afternoon, someone called police after they heard another person say there was an active shooter in the mall. Moments later, word spread and that sent several people into a panic.
When officers arrived at the mall, they did not find an active shooter.
Corpus Christi Police Department Lt. Mike Pena said the person who made the call will not be charged since it is very likely they were not being malicious.
