MCCI Medical Group is opening up their facilities as cooling centers for local senior citizens. The medical centers in Corpus Christi and Rockport will provide refreshments, safety tips and extended hours at their activity centers to help seniors avoid the dangerous health conditions that
can be brought on by extreme heat.
The MCCI Medical Group centers participating are:
MCCI Rockport, 1209 Highway 35 N., Rockport, Texas 78382,
MCCI Bayside, 4254 South Alameda Street, Corpus Christi, Texas 78412
MCCI Central Corpus, 917 South Port Avenue, Corpus Christi, Texas 78405.
The extended hours will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. throughout the month of August. And visitors can stay busy by joining in fun activities like Zumba fitness, arts and crafts or watching movies.
