AEP is working to restore power to more than 1,000 people after a garbage truck hit a utility pole early Friday morning.
The incident happened sometime before 6 A.M. in an alley behind the Wallbanger’s restaurant on Carmel Parkway and South Staples street.
There are no reports of any injuries, but an estimated 1,041 in the area are currently without power.
Power is set to be restored around 10:30 AM, according to the AEP website.
