Monday brought the most extreme heat we’ve seen so far this year, and while Tuesday won’t be near as warm, it’ll still be a hot one.Tuesday’s forecastWe’re still under a heat advisory for Tuesday, as the heat index could reach 110 to 112 degrees. Highs will be in the mid-90s for Corpus Christi and close to 100 degrees inland. If you plan to be outdoors, make sure to take frequent breaks in the air conditioning and drink lots of liquids. Even though it’s “cooler”, we’re still dealing with above average temperatures. There will be a few more clouds in the sky today thanks to an increase in moisture in our atmosphere. This could also spark one or two stray showers to our north. They will have the potential to move south into the Coastal Bend, delivering a brief shot of rain to a few lucky folks. The rest of the weekTemperatures will remain in the 90s with mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies extending through the end of the week. Unfortunately, there is not a very significant rain chance at any point between now and the weekend.
