While it’s a little warmer and drier than many South Texans would like, we are keeping fair weather for the Youth Sailing World Championship.

Wednesday’s forecast

By Wednesday, the African Dust will mostly be gone from the area. There may still be some traces, but the bulk of it will be to our north. As a result of this, we’ll actually see temperatures rise a degree or two. Look for a high near 94 degrees in Corpus Christi with mostly sunny skies and a feels like temperatures between 105 and 110 degrees.

Winds will be blowing at 10-20 mph during the afternoon which could once again make the bays slightly choppy.

Thursday and Friday: Staying warm

High pressure will be intensifying over Texas through the weekend, which will ultimately keep it hot and dry. If you’re planning to be outside, take it easy. That humidity will make it feel near 110 degrees during the afternoons.

The weekend: Any relief?

Unfortunately, no change comes our way for the weekend. Besides the heat, we should have a good beach weekend. The dog days of summer have arrived!
