35-year-old man charged with Tuesday morning murder

Update: Corpus Christi police say they arrested 35-year-old Marvin Tatum. He was charged with murder and tampering with evidence.

Corpus Christi police are investigating the city's latest homicide case.

Officers first received a cal l around 2:15 a.m. Tuesday about a man seen dragging a body down Waco and Leopard Street.

When they arrived, they found a deceased male on Waco with blunt force trauma injuries to his head.

Officers were given a description of the person allegedly involved, a black male in a black shirt and grey pants.

Shortly after, officers found a man matching that description at the Stripes store on Leopard Street. He was later arrested.

The suspect's name is not being released at this time, but investigators say he will be charged with murder.

The victim has not yet been identified.
