Posted 3:06 PM 9/12/2012 : Padre Island Residents Without Power After Pole Snaps

CORPUS CHRISTI - About one thousand Padre Island residents were without power Wednesday afternoon due to a power pole that snapped and started a small fire in the dunes.

AEP officials are still trying to figure out why the pole snapped near the top. Fire crews were able to knock the blaze
