Brewster Street Ice House was the official host for tour stop number six on the This is Texas Tour. The tour caters to the University of Texas alumnus, better known as, Texas Exes.

The caravan initiates in Austin but travels all over the state to promote and honor Texas athletics. It also gives folks a chance to ask questions one on one with coaches they might not otherwise have access to.

"It's important for us to come down to the community and get in front of the community and just talk about the University of Texas," Del Conte told KZTV.

The local event in Corpus Christi pre-sold over a hundred tickets and members packed the house wearing burnt orange proudly.

Special guests included University of Texas new athletic director, Chris Del Conte, head football coach, Tom Herman, and assistant men's basketball coach, Darrin Horn.

"You wanna honor that tradition to do really well to make the people in Texas like here in Corpus Christi really proud," coach Horn told KZTV.
