On Wednesday, March 7, agents assigned to the Corpus Christi Border Patrol Station responded to a call from the Nueces County Sheriff’s Office regarding suspected illegal alien activity. A total of 14 illegal aliens, who were being smuggled on a freight train, were apprehended.

Later in the day, Rio Grande Valley Sector agents, working in collaboration with local law enforcement, received information on a possible stash house in Roma, Texas.  Through a coordinated effort, a welfare check was conducted at the residence and a total of 36 illegal aliens were discovered. The illegal aliens were from Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Columbia, Venezuela, and Nicaragua.

Today, agents from the Rio Grande Valley Sector along with the Mercedes Police Department acted on information provided from a concerned citizen. It resulted in the rescue of 15 illegal aliens from Guatemala, Mexico, Honduras, and El Salvador.

All subjects were offered medical assistance and will be processed accordingly.

The public is encouraged to take a stand against crime in their communities and to help save lives by reporting suspicious activity at 800-863-9382.
