CORPUS CHRISTI - The bright lights at Cabaniss Field are finally back on and they now shine over brand new turf.  CCISD officials, coaches, and even some players took part in a ribbon cutting ceremony to reveal the upgrade.

People in attendance were encouraged to sign the old home plate in homage to the old field.

Also, Moody softball players wasted no time. They hosted the Beeville softball team for the first game to be played on the fresh turf.

A brand new scoreboard also made it's debut, the home teams that will get to enjoy the field are: Veteran's Memorial, Ray, Moody, King, Carroll, and Miller.

The facility will also hold it's usual, annual tournaments.
