Lowes stabbing suspect to appear in court

The 18-year-old man accused of stabbing a Good Samaritan will appear in court today.

Juan Antonio Sanchez is set to enter a plea agreement in the 347th District Court.

The stabbing happened outside the Lowes Home Improvement store back on July 2nd. 

Sanchez is accused of stabbing a man who attempted to stop him and another suspect from allegedly shoplifting. 

The victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition with several stab wounds. 

According to police, the victim was released from the hospital Monday evening and is expected to be okay. 

Sanchez turned himself in Tuesday, July 11th, around 5:30 a.m.

Sanchez is charged with aggravated robbery and is currently being held at the Nueces County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
