CORPUS CHRISTI -

Police said an investigation was ongoing after an apparent drive-by shooting struck a Westside home in Corpus Christi.

The incident reportedly happened near the 4000 block of Barrera Drive in Corpus Christi around 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday night.

Investigators with Corpus Christi Police Department said around three shots struck a nearby home during what appeared to be a drive-by shooting. Police said they do not believe the residence was involved with the incident but rather was struck inadvertently.

Although there were several people inside the home, there were no reports of any injuries.

CCPD said any suspects at the scene had fled prior to their arrival, and they found no injured parties but did find shell casings nearby.

This is a developing story, we will provide updates online as soon as we're able.
