Twin Peaks gives free Christmas trees to military families

Posted: Updated:

Some military families were given free Christmas trees today thanks to a local restaurant chain.

Twin Peaks on SPID handed out 100 trees to pre-selected military members and their families Thursday afternoon.

All of Twin Peaks restaurants across the country are participating in this Christmas tree giveaway event.

"It's nice seeing the joy in their faces. They do so much for us and its our small token for giving back to them. It means a lot to us giving as much as anything else," said John Rosa, Twin Peaks owner.

This is the third year that franchise has handed out free Christmas trees to military families.
