A large pile of construction outside a home near a local elementary is raising concerns for nearby residents.
The home, located on Masterson Drive near Galvan Elementary, has hundreds of planks of wood stacked on scattered in the front yard.
The owner of the home, Austin Howell, says he's remodeling his home with lumber he's collected from around the city.
Nearby residents tell us the pile is an eyesore that's been there for three months, and they want it removed.
"You know it's a concern with the kids whenever they're running down the street or anything like that, and it's just an eye sore. It's horrible to come into the neighborhood and it's right there at the beginning," said one neighbor.
Howell says, "Some people see it just as waste but it's not really if you have to go buy it it's pretty expensive."
According to the city, if Howell doesn't remove the wood from his yard and driveway by Friday, he could be cited by code enforcement.
If he at least moves the lumber out of sight, he'll be given a 15 day extension.
