Posted: Updated:
CORPUS CHRISTI -

A groundbreaking was held Monday for a facility that will eventually provide crude oil for world markets.

Junction Energy's new marine terminal facility is going to be built along the Joe Fulton Corridor.

The first phase of construction will be for a facility to store one and a half million barrels of oil.

Eventually, more than four million barrels will be stored at the new facility.

The facility will be able to process about 100,000 barrels daily and will have a deep water dock.
